Principles applied when processing your data
When processing your personal data, the Owner applies the following principles, in line with the requirements of the GDPR:
- Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: you are always informed beforehand, in plain language, of the purposes for which your data are processed and of the legal basis for each purpose.
- Data minimisation: only the data strictly necessary for the stated purpose are requested.
- Storage limitation: personal data are kept only for as long as is strictly necessary for the purpose of the processing, or for as long as the law requires.
- Integrity and confidentiality: personal data are processed in a way that guarantees their security, confidentiality and integrity, and reasonable precautions are taken to prevent unauthorised access or misuse by third parties.
How we obtain your personal data
You do not need to provide any personal data simply to browse https://quadjunior.com. You do provide personal data in the following cases:
- When you contact us through a contact form or send us an email.
- When you place an order for one of our children's battery-powered electric vehicles (quads, buggies, 4x4 off-roaders and motocross bikes).
- When you exercise your right of withdrawal or make a claim under the legal guarantee.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter, if you choose to do so.
Categories of data processed
The categories of personal data processed are identification and contact data (name and surname, postal delivery address, email address, telephone number), order and transaction data (products purchased, delivery country, order history, and the confirmation of payment provided by the payment gateway), and technical browsing data (IP address and data collected through cookies). QuadJunior does not process special categories of data and does not store your full card details on its own systems.
Purposes and legal basis for processing
- Managing your order, delivery and payment. Legal basis: performance of a contract to which you are party (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). This includes calculating shipping costs in the basket according to your delivery country and the weight of the product, arranging carriage with a tracked courier, and processing the payment through the methods shown during checkout. Prices are shown inclusive of VAT.
- Handling withdrawals, returns and guarantee claims. Legal basis: performance of the contract and compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). You have 14 calendar days to withdraw from your purchase; where the product is in conformity, you bear the cost of returning it. The legal guarantee is three years for deliveries in Spain and two years in the other EU countries we sell to (Portugal, France, Italy, Germany and Belgium).
- Answering your enquiries submitted through our contact forms or by email. Legal basis: your consent, or the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- Complying with tax, accounting and consumer law obligations, including invoicing. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Sending commercial communications about our products, where you have subscribed. Legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Analysing website use and improving our service. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Retention periods
Data relating to enquiries are kept for as long as is needed to deal with the enquiry and, afterwards, for the period in which a related liability might arise. Data relating to orders, invoicing and guarantees are kept for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter for the periods required by tax and commercial law, and at least for the duration of the applicable legal guarantee. Newsletter data are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to erase them; inactive records are reviewed periodically and removed. Data collected through cookies are kept for the period stated for each cookie.
Recipients of your data
Your personal data are not sold or transferred to third parties beyond what is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above. The following recipients may access your data:
- The transport company that delivers your order, which receives the name, delivery address and contact details needed to complete the tracked delivery.
- The payment service provider that processes the payment method you choose at checkout.
- The hosting provider and the providers of the technical services that keep the website running, acting as processors on our instructions.
- Tax authorities, public bodies and courts, where there is a legal obligation to disclose.
These providers act as data processors under a contract meeting the requirements of Article 28 GDPR. No international transfers outside the European Economic Area are intended; if any become necessary, they will be carried out only with the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR.

QuadJunior takes all reasonable precautions and follows recognised industry practices to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of your personal data, including encrypted transmission of the data you send through the website.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data and information on how they were obtained.
- Request the rectification of inaccurate data or the erasure of data that are no longer necessary.
- Request the restriction of processing.
- Object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest.
- Exercise the right to data portability in respect of data processed on the basis of consent or of a contract, by automated means.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
These rights are personal and must be exercised by the data subject. To exercise them, send an email to info@quadjunior.com stating the right you wish to exercise, together with a document proving your identity. We will reply within one month of receiving your request, which may be extended by a further two months where the request is complex.
If you consider that your request has not been dealt with properly, or that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to effective judicial protection and to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in this case the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos), at https://www.aepd.es.
